Happy July 6th!

It is a holiday today ya know!!

Today the boys started the morning off in a real fun way... QUARTER DIVING!
Since they reached a weekly goal they got to play this fun game in the pool. Brock threw a couple hundred dollars of quarters in the pool and the boys got to jump in and get them. The catch is that they only could use one breath. So once they had to come up for air, they had to stop grabbing the quarters. It is harder than it sounds, promise! When Morgen went he got $2.50. Woot woot! I held his quarters for him in my back pocket... until they gave the wives a chance to try and they all fell out of my pocket when I jumped in! What a lame brain! I could see quarters falling from above me as I was down in the water collecting quarters off the ground. ha ha. Oops!

This was a super funny game! So fun to watch! It is really hard to hold your body down under the water while you are trying to grab the little things off the floor of the pool!

Happy Fourth of July!

This was one of the best days of the summer!!

I woke up early and went to a parade in Hilliard with all the girls and chillins, which was way fun! I cheered and clapped for everyone in the parade! The kids got SOoo much candy! Huge bags full! It looked like Halloween. I got plenty of sweets too :) After the parade I hung out at the pool for a while, where I got scorched from the overcast sun. ha ha. I will survive though. And the best part of the day.... Morgen walked through the door at... drum roll please... 6:00! The sun was still up and there was so much day left! Wahoo!! I was so happy! So we went to Dominos and almost ate a whole large pizza together out in the shade on the lawn. A fun little picnic! Then we met our friends at the park to wait for the fireworks. While we were waiting we had a great big game of catch phrase going. I love that game!! The fireworks were great! I love fireworks!! It was so great to be surrounded by such good people there. We have great friends and family that make every occasion a party! :) Morgen and I came home and lied down on the couch after the fireworks and passed out! ha ha we still don't know how long we stayed there sleeping on the couch before we rolled into our bed.

Our first 4th of July together was better than I had thought it would be! I was worried that we wouldn't even be able to see the fireworks. I remember last year taking picture of fireworks for Morgen on my phone cause he didn't get to go see them. Funny stuff!

Another Sunday Adventure!!

This Sunday we went to a place called Hocking Hills. It was amazing! The pictures don't even do it justice. We decided it was Lake Powell canyons mixed with Honduras. The rocks were dark and covered in green moss. The more I think about it, it was a lot like the hikes we went on in Hawaii. Yup, it was just like that! With the ferns, the moss, the humidity, waterfalls, and everything. Check out the pics!

There is one little spot in the water that is only about 6 feet deep so when we jumped we had to crumple up our bodies. I touched my bum on the ground when I went! Kinda crazy!

I think that this picture makes us look like we are on a date and don't want to touch each other! Kelli would not approve!!

This is how it rains in Ohio!

The rain here is much different than the rain in Utah! Here it comes out of no where and drops like crazy! And the drops are huge! It was a sunny day and we spent a few hours at the pool and when we got home the wind picked up, dirt was flying everywhere, and then the sky got dark and it dumped!! When I looked out the window it was as if I was in a car wash and could barely see out of them! Within a half hour the rain stopped and it was beautiful again! Pretty fun weather!!

I ran a 5k!

Last Saturday one of the other wives, Jessi Quillen, and I ran the Powell Spring 5k. It was such a cute small town race! There were less people there than there are at the Riverdale one that we always run. The race started in a park, went through a very pretty neighborhood, and ended back at the park. I finished 67th out of 123 people with the time of 28.19. Not too shabby right?

That is a 9 minute mile. It was hard, but way fun!! :)

There was a guy at the race that took a bunch of pictures and posted them online, that is how I got all the action shots. I'm in lime green and Jessi is in red.

This picture was taken at the finish line. At the last curve I asked if the girl next to me wanted to race. It was pretty fun! I thought I would win since I am so much taller than her, but this picture captured my shame. Short girl beat me. All of the people at the end of the race knew we were racing and I could hear them talking about it as we passed them. It was a fun way to finish the race!

And we are done!! Phew!!! And Pooped!! :)

The Best Come-Back Ever!!

I have to share this conversation that Morgen and I had the other morning....

K: "Morgen, you take forever to do everything!"
M: "Hu?"
K: "You take forever to put your socks on. You take forever to tuck your shirt in. You take forever to do everything!"
M: "Well I can do multiplication faster than you."

Bah ha ha! That is the funniest come-back that I have ever heard! He totally wins!!

This is what you do when it is 90 degrees in your house!!

It was a million degrees in our house and I was going crazy! I moved our mattress, sheets, and pillows out on the deck cause there was no way that we would be able to sleep in the heat! When Morgen got home he had to search for our bed. ha ha. We ended up eating dinner outside and then getting spooked by tons of huge beetles so we moved the bed in the living room and slept with all the windows open. Thank goodness that after a few harsh words to the apartment management we got our air fixed the next day.

Sunday Adventures!

Today we went to an amazing park! It was full of grass and flowers and all sorts of pathways. It was the prettiest day that we have had with no rain and only sunshine!

These types of trees are all over Columbus. I told Morgen and I think that this is where Joseph Smith saw the first vision! The picture doesn't even show how pretty it was there! There was a pond and we saw frogs and turtles which was fun!

Sunday #2 in Ohio

This Sunday was a pretty eventful! To start it off my blow dryer set off the fire alarm! ha ha. It decided to die and put out this nasty smell that make the alarm go off. I didn't know what the sound was at first, so it was a little scary! Morgen was in the shower and I had wet hair with only 20 minutes to get ready so I was yelling to him to hurry and go borrow a blow dryer from someone! He saved the day and grabbed a blow dryer from Jessica for me! I was a bit late and had ugly hair... but at least it was dry!

Church was good! We had a RS lesson from a woman from Persia who was raised a Muslim.

After church we both took turns taking naps and ate a rather large dinner! ha ha

Then we went on a little waterfall walk. It is right off the road and a short walk to this beautiful waterfall! Check out the picture!

After our waterfall adventure we came back to our house and had some company to play some Nintendo games. I'll post pictures of our little Wii party as soon as I get them off my camera. The boys were going crazy over NBA Jam! Morgen loves that game! The projector the Morgen got is working out wonderfully! Have you ever seen Sonic the Hedgehog 3 ft tall?? ha ha well I have!

Life is good here in Columbus! Still rainy and cloudy... but we're doing okay with it.

... Says Morgen...

"I made it home without the GPS today!" All the way from Columbus to Hilliard with no navigation! I am confident that will never happen for me.

He also was in a much safer neighborhood so he didn't have to worry about his car being hijacked all day, like yesterday.

I posted music!

I found a couple Morgen and Karlie theme songs. "I wanna grow old with you" is the one that Morgen sings to me. Then "I'd catch a grenade for ya" is what I sing to Morgen almost everyday!
